How I take criticism and improve my self
How do I deal working under pressure?
In college, I have worked as a student assistant in various departments. Along side with this, I had an obligation to work part time in our family business. This situation is one from a few struggles of mine in college. Because of this, I haven't become much active in college school organizations like other students. Joggling academics, school works and work have caused me sometime to work under pressure. In response to this I would isolate myself to be able to focus on the tasks that needs to be prioritized. Afterwards, I would gets feedback regarding my work for corrections. Then submit everything and live the day as usual. Afterwards, I would set the evening as my "me time". I would take a nice bath, order take out I've been craving for and listen to good music to put my mind at ease for the next battle or next following day. However, I knew I will be working under pressure for days. I would have a different approach to accomplish or surpass the situation. For example, one of the longest time I have worked under pressure was during my last academic semester. I had to work on a project for a whole semester. From time to time I would unwind by eating out with friends just to catch positive energy then work back on my tasks and project. Then later on middle of the semester I experience an emotional breakdown due feeling all the heavy load. To be able to cope up with this, I booked a vacation with friends. From the on ever since I would feel like giving up and just pass what I can give I would envision myself in that vacation.
As you have observe they way I cope up with working under pressure is by rewarding myself at the end of the day or throwing a big after reward. I have find this to be very helpful in keeping me in line with my goal and being consistent with the work that I produce.
What motivates
me best?
Upon reading the paragraph above this, you would think that relaxing or spoiling myself is something that keeps me motivated. This is a fact however, what motivates me best and in the long run is my craving for discovery and adventure. I love to travel and explore new place, try new food, discover culture and places I have only seen on screen. I have set my soul purpose for the next 5 years to discover and wonder different countries. Along side with this, I aim to do this to further deepen my self understanding and what would be my next goal for the next years as I live.
